Troubadour
in West Hollywood,
California,
usa.
He was great
and soulful
and funny - told a story
about being asked by the
Knack to sit in at this very
club - and they had monster
amps onstage and he
turned one up to 10 and
hit a power chord - and went
flying! And blew over tables
and people and caused about
$430 worth of damage.
Which the club expected him
to pay. But he figured,
as he said,
getting Tom Petty for
that price
was a fair deal.
